Julian Hirst
Julian started his career as an entertainer at the tender age of 3 when he was paid sixpence to perform a Punch & Judy Show. Although the subsequent 50 years have taken him from the ranks of the completely unknown to those of the totally unheard of, he is confidently expecting to be an overnight success any day now.
Julian is delighted to add Scrooge to his list of ‘likeable Dickensian baddies’ having recently played Fagin in Oliver!. Other favourite villains include Adolf Hitler in Happy as a Sandbag, Darryl Van Horne in The Witches of Eastwick, Judd Fry in Oklahoma! and several incarnations as Count Dracula - both on stage and in a national advertising campaign for photocopiers. Previous outings with Blackeyed Theatre include John in Blue Remembered Hills and Catesby in The Long lost Legend of Robin Hood.
As a magician/entertainer, he continues to appear at theatres, hotels and conference
centres, at trade shows and product launches, and at private parties world-wide.
He is also a director of Centrestage Partnership Ltd. - a leading learning and development
consultancy which combines extensive business experience with a background in professional
theatre and communication skills development to provide drama based learning strategies.
