Lin Blakley

Lin starred opposite Edward Fox in Sir Peter Hall's production of 'You Never Can Tell' at the Garrick Theatre on London's West End a few years ago before taking a role in ‘Hayfever’, a Sir Peter Hall and Bill Kenwright co-production which sees Lin performing alongside Dame Judy Dench at the Haymarket Theatre, West End.

An award winning actress, and graduate of the London Royal Academy of Music, Lin took time to nurse her ailing husband (Alan Blakley founder member of the Tremeloes) and bring up her two daughters, whilst still continuing to carve out a solid career and reputation for herself in many varied and challenging roles. These include the irrepressible and comedic role of 'Shirley Valentine', 'Iron', 'Duet for One', 'Marking Time', 'Stacked' with David Edwards, 'All My Sons', 'Death of a Salesman', 'Midsummer Nights Dream', Devils, 'Barnum', 'Fantastic Mr.Fox' (Dominique Barber), 'Effie's Burning' (Blackeyed Theatre Co), 'Female Parts', 'Teachers' (Ambitions Theatre Co.), 'When Santa got Stuck up the Chimney' (Jonathan Stone), and the feature film 'The Football Factory'.

Lin's most recent TV roles include 'Derailed' for the BBC, and the new ITV drama 'Vital Signs', in which Lin achieved a truly personal goal and performed alongside her well-known actress daughter, Claudie.
