For Oh What A Lovely War
"Thank you so much for Oh What A Lovely War - truly a terrific production of a really great piece, brilliantly played and flawlessly put together. I have heard so many nice things from the audience - it would make you blush" (Oundle)
"Saw Oh What a Lovely War last night at the Courtyard Theatre Hereford. Such an excellent performance energetic, powerful and emotional. We were thoroughly impressed by this talented cast. Could watch it all over again - and might do. Many thanks to all" (Hereford)
"Hi on Tuesday i came and saw you guys do a production of "oh what a lovely war" at south hill park and i just wanted to say i thought you were AMAZING. Reading the play beforehand i didn’t really understand it but you guys made it funny and enjoyable to watch. I couldn’t get over how multi talented the cast were ! I hope to see future productions and I’m sure i will be equally impressed" (Bracknell)
“My daughter attended South Hill Park on Friday Night with her Sixth Form to watch the play in the Wilde Theatre, when I collected her she could not stop talking about the thought provoking dialogue, the skill of the actors in portraying so many different emotions and events with hardly any props. So I just wanted to congratulate you for bringing this sort of play to the Wilde Theatre" (Bracknell)
"I am not a great theatre goer, and when I do I do tend to like smaller “Off Beat” productions. I had never seen the stage version of Oh What a lovely War before, though have seen the film. The first time, when it first came out I have to admit that I largely missed the point. Since then I have read a lot about the war and visited some sites. I found your performance at Hexham last night stunning, entrancing and moving. Absolutely brilliant. All five performers were outstanding in their virtuosity and ability. I left the Hall in a state of amazement. Well done to all of you" (Hexham)
"I just wanted to congratulate you on an absolutely stunning performance. I know the play and have taught aspects of it for many years, mainly to sixth form students. There was such energy and complete realisation of the many roles that I am considering going to see it again. I also really liked the way you took the opportunity to bring it right home with the sweep back through history with the stills at the start and the way you counted up to 2008. Once again thank you for such a wonderful theatrical experience- I'm already looking forward to your next one!" (Durham)
"Just got back from a superb night of Oh What a Lovely War. Really talented cast and good interpretation of original. Littlewood would be proud" (Durham)
"I recently went to see "Oh what a lovely war" at the queens theatre in Hexham for my A-Level exam piece. I thought the interpretation of it was fantastic. The acting was superb! I thank you so much for making my life so much easier because I know i can commend and write lots about the piece in my exam" (Hexham)
